There are great things happening in Western Sweden’s life science sector. – It is a story that has to be told, says Kenny Genborg, Acting Communications Director, Sahlgrenska Science Park, about a new promotional film produced in collaboration with Business Region Göteborg.

The paradigm shift in life science not only creates necessary new solutions in healthcare. It is also a great opportunity for innovation, entrepreneurship, exports and investments in Western Sweden´s business sector.
– The Gothenburg region has every opportunity to take a leading role in the transition. In fierce international competition. And the big players in this area need to come together in a common strong and relevant story about this, says Kenny Genborg.
The new film highlights the region’s competencies in digitization, AI, healthtech, 5G, data analysis and the megatrend we now see. Large traditional industries such as life science, IT, telecom and vehicles merge together.
– A region that has all these competencies, as well as a documented ability to cooperate across borders, has a great advantage. We see a development that is as revolutionary as cars becoming self-driving, and with the same great opportunities for jobs and growth in Western Sweden.
– This is a story we must share. All of us, and together, says Kenny Genborg.
The film, which is a collaboration between Business Region Gothenburg, Sahlgrenska Science Park and investingothenburg.com, is one of several initiatives to put the light on Western Sweden’s strengths.
It will be available in many channels, and is free to use and share for everyone.
