What is PRECISEU?
PRECISEU is a collaborative European initiative aimed at accelerating the implementation of precision medicine by identifying challenges, developing best practices, and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders.
Key achievements in PRECISEU
Establishing a strong visual identity
To enhance visibility and engagement, PRECISEU has developed a distinct visual identity, including a professional logo and tailored communication materials. This branding is prominently featured on the official website and LinkedIn channels, increasing outreach and awareness among stakeholders.
Developing Europe’s first advanced therapies map
In partnership with EATRIS, PRECISEU is building the first-ever pan-European map detailing the development and market access of advanced therapies. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive data on available technologies, value chain capacities, regulatory frameworks, and safety standards, offering valuable insights for stakeholders across the healthcare sector.
Strengthening ties with European initiatives
Collaboration is a core pillar of PRECISEU’s success. We have strengthened partnerships with key European projects, including TEHDAS2, which contributes to the development of the European Health Data Space, and EP PerMed, a major European initiative for Personalised Medicine.
Establishing a project advisory board
To ensure PRECISEU remains aligned with the latest developments in precision medicine, a Project Advisory Board has been established. Comprising leading experts from diverse sectors, this board provides strategic guidance and ensures the project meets the evolving needs of healthcare professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders.

Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon
As part of its commitment to driving innovation, SSP has organized Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon events in Sweden and Barcelona. This collaborative event brought together students, researchers, healthcare professionals, and entrepreneurs to develop creative solutions for pressing global healthcare challenges. By fostering cross-disciplinary teamwork, the hackathon serves as a platform for generating impactful and scalable healthcare innovations. Learn more here!
Mapping barriers to precision care implementation
SSP has taken a leading role in coordinating consortium member countries to conduct interviews and workshops aimed at identifying key barriers to precision care implementation. The goal is to develop a model and roadmap for best practices in implementing precision medicine across different regions. By the end of March, the initiative will have conducted approximately 100 interviews and collaborative activities, including workshops and other stakeholder interactions across all 10 partnering countries. These efforts will provide critical insights to guide future strategies for integrating precision care.
Looking ahead
The first six months of PRECISEU have been marked by significant progress, and SSP remains dedicated to driving the next phases of the project. With continued collaboration and innovation, we aim to further advance precision medicine and create tangible healthcare solutions for patients across Europe.
