The vision
WELCOME TO THE SAHLGRENSKA GLOBAL HEALTH HACKATHON!
The Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon brings together students, researchers, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs and innovators from diverse sectors in ten innovation hotspots around the world.
The goal:
Develop innovative, cutting-edge solutions to address some of the world’s most pressing global health challenges through coaction and creativity.
Healthcare systems worldwide face unprecedented challenges. Aging populations, chronic diseases and unequal access to care demand more than traditional approaches—bold innovation, cross-sector collaboration and technological advancements are crucial.
Everyone is invited—no coding experience required. Bring your ideas, perspectives, and enthusiasm. We’ll provide mentorship, guidance and support to turn your ideas into reality.

The winner will be awarded expert business coaching and monetary awards and an opportunity to present at the grand finale at NLSDays in Gothenburg in October 2025.

The prizes
One representative from the winning team at each Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon location will be invited to Gothenburg, Sweden, in October 2025 to participate in the final award ceremony at the Nordic Life Science Days (NLSDays) conference. This prestigious event offers a unique opportunity to pitch their idea to potential partners and investors.
As winners, teams will not only gain valuable exposure through pitching and exhibition opportunities but also receive business coaching and a monetary award from a total prize pool of up to EUR 15,000.
NLSDays is a premier annual gathering for Europe’s life science community, providing an exceptional platform to network, showcase innovations, and explore business opportunities.
